Sr DSP Software Engineer

M4S

M4S is a spin-off from IMEC that develops and commercializes multi-standard wireless chips, based on IMEC’s SDR technology. The company expects that in the coming years, mobile devices, such as media players, handheld games, and smart phones will include multiple radio interfaces (2G, 3G, WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS, WiMax …). The integration of all these different radio interfaces, currently requiring dedicated chip(set)s for each interface, in small, battery powered, portable devices is a major challenge. M4S aims at replacing these dedicated chips by a single, flexible solution that supports multiple radio interfaces, offering its customers easy integration of a multitude of wireless capabilities in their products at very competitive pricing, power consumption and footprint.  M4S products are based on innovative architectures developed and prototyped in IMEC’s M4 program. It includes the world’s first reconfigurable RF transceiver that spans the frequency range from 170MHz up to 6 GHz, covering wireless standards, such as 3G, WLAN 802.11abgn, Bluetooth, WiMax, as well as broadcast standards, such as the mainstream mobile TV standards, digital radio and even GPS.

Today, we're seeking RF designers and System engineers, team players who get things done and share a passion for bringing new wireless technologies to the rapidly growing mobile market.  Now is your chance to join the rapidly growing engineering team and develop new advanced and differentiating products based on world-leading new SDR technology.
